2005Juno Honour Genius For the Month of December this website is dedicated to the genius of Vincent Morton. Vinny ran our website up till last week since it started for no money at all (although he did steal a bottle of Jack Daniels from Fish that was a Birthday present from James). We'd like to thank him for his year and a half of work and his help in making this new site work when we couldn't. Thanks Vinny, you're The Soul Gorilla. Posted by Juno ! 04.12.05 23:55 Juno ! supported Data Panik (again) A suberb night all round! Juno ! played a perfect set (quite a rarity don't you know) and had a very merry time. After a late start (thanks Kid, you're never on time) the show was dynamite. Thanks to all who came along, we'll see you in the new year. As ever Data Panik and The Flying Matchstick Men were also fantastic. Data Panik gave everyone a slightly early Christmas present by covering The Waitresses' "Christmas Wrapping" to universal delight. So it's goodbye from Juno ! in 2005, have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. We'll see you in 2006. Posted by Juno ! 24.12.05 12:06 Juno ! supporting Data Panik (again) We're supporting everyone's favourite Glaswegians again on Friday 23rd December. It's Data Panik's Christmas Party and tickets will sell out like they do for every other Data Panik gig, so if you're coming along then get to Ticket Master or the King Tut's bar and buy, buy, buy! We don't have any ourselves to sell you, so don't leave it too late. Posted by Juno ! 11.12.05 21:06 The Tall Boy's EP Release Party If you're in Glasgow town this Thursday (15th) then there's a special night on just for you. The Tall Boy (Juno's more pleasant siblings) are celebrating the release of Go Forth, their 7 track EP. It's released on Banazan Records that day and there's a party going on at Mono. There's even a rumour the legendary Gerald Love from Teenage Fanclub will be DJing. Join Juno to clap along. Posted by Juno ! 11.12.05 21:33 Gig at Gig Juno ! played at Gig in Edinburgh on Friday night. Despite being hampered by a late kick off (midnight instead of 10:30) it was a great night. Yoshi impressed everyone with his multi-tasking skills by playing not only his own usual trumpet parts but most of Matt's too (Matt was out of the country skiving at the time). Don't fear though dual trumpet fans, Matt's returned now and we'll be back to a full house for Monday's gig at The Butterfly & Pig. Posted by Juno ! 11.12.05 20:43 Juno Brave Edinburgh Juno are heading to Edinburgh this Friday for our second gig there. We're playing at the imaginitively titled "Gig" on Lothian Road. It's apparently massive, so we need all the Junomaniacs to come along and fill it up. Posted by Juno ! 04.12.05 23:12 Juno Electro-Cute Dunfermline Juno played a fine set at Monty's on Friday. Thanks to all who came along and witnessed our second gig at the "is this music?" night. It was great to play with Data Panik & The Flying Matchstickmen, although Steven from Data Panik did insult Jim Leishman. On the same night, we discovered that Atom Bomb City had been reviewed online by Tartan Underground, where we were described as "Cute" - obviously not met us. Check it out in the "Reviews" section. We'll all be playing together again at King Tut's on 23rd December for Data Panik's Xmas Night. Check the "Links" section for Data Panik's site and ticket details. See you there.
